ANDY LOWE

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Andy Lowe may be the son of the founder of Lowe Corporation, but that does not mean he had an easy ride. With more than thirty-years-experience in the meat and by-product industry, he started out on the factory floor as a worker. He was appointed to the Lowe Corporation Board in 2003 and became Managing Director in 2008.

Andy’s other big passion in life is conservation and in 2006 he joined forces with other landowners in an ambitious undertaking to restore Cape Kidnappers peninsula’s wildlife back to its former glory. Cape Sanctuary, as the area is now known, covers 2,500ha and has the most diverse range of native birdlife on coastal mainland New Zealand. This is largely due to an extensive predator-proof fence surrounding it. Andy is also at the forefront to make New Zealand predator–free by 2050.

Andy also has many years’ experience in the property development industry.
