The edible beef tallow is produced from specially selected 100% New Zealand beef tallow. Cattle from which this product is derived are subject to, and have passed, post and anti-mortem inspection by qualified veterinarians from the New Zealand Food Safety Authority to ensure the product is safe for human consumption.

The tallow is refined and deodorised.

The refined and deodorised tallow can be used as a deep frying medium or as shortening in general baking of biscuits and cakes.
